Ice Fishing Fun at the Cabin

Matt and Tom finally made it up to the cabin for some ice fishing, and the lake was more than willing to give up some of it's bounty. Thanks for coming guys! I look forward to your return.

Merry Christmas

Way To Go Tim!

For those of you that didn't know, my brother Tim completed the Chicago Marathon with family and friends cheering him on. He didn't come in first, but he didn't come in last either. Somewhere in the middle is better than anyone else in the family did, and we commend his efforts.

You might see him in a few of the following photos:

Hey Tim, are you with this group?

Ok, I admit it…I don’t update this page enough, but I do add a few photos to the wallpaper page now and then. Here are a few things you might not have known:

I have been creating wallpapers with some of my better photos. Check them out under wallpaper in the side bar.

Navigating the inland waters of Minnesota can be difficult at times, but if you watch this short video, you'll come away with a little knowledge that I hope will make it easier.

Please don't try this at home. I am a trained professional!

KUBB is King!

This was another fun year in Eau Claire at what turned out to be the largest KUBB tournament in the United States ever.  The Lakerol Originals stepped it up a notch and actually made it in to the winners bracket before getting knocked back down in game three of the first match.  Lucky Lefse, Team Lutefisk, molteberry Magic and The Queens of KUBB along with the new Platteville Kubbsters and Kubb Scouts all had a great time, and a fun day of KUBB.  But, don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself by clicking the image below:

Fido has always been interested in a career in film, so when the opportunity to do a fertalizer comercial came along, he jumped at the opportunity.

Ahhhh yes, that all important "Senior Photo". Which one will she choose? Julie and I have had a lot of fun driving around looking for the perfect setting for her senior photo. Click on the photo to see the final selection she has to choose from, and if there is one you like best, send her a note and let her know.

Happy Holidays!

Choose your Stocking

We hope you all had a wonderful and Merry Christmas. We sure did. We would like to thank all of you for making our Christmas a joyous one. We wish you all the very best in the upcoming new year. Please enjoy these photos of us and our families from this holiday season.

We want to hang a special stocking for our friends in Norway. Our relatives have been sending photos from their holiday gatherings. I'm sure you will see that the family resemblances go way beyond looks. Enjoy!

(Mom, if you got to here, you need to go back up and click on a stocking)

Minnesota State Parks
Geocaching History Challenge

(click slide show for larger images)

Linda and I have decided to complete the Minnesota State Parks Geocaching History Challenge. This involves traveling to each of the Minnesota State Parks and locating a special geocache placed there by the DNR.

We have lived in Minnesota for years, and there are still many areas of the state we have not visited. We look forward to seeing all the beauty this state has to offer.

KUBB - 2008 U.S. Midwest Championship

CindyKubb KingIn August of 2007, the Sullivan family wasintroduced to the game of kubb while traveling in Norway. By August of 2008, we were quite sure we were kubb experts, so we entered the U.S. Championships in Eau Claire Wisconsin. On August 2nd, we stepped onto the field and into the history books. We had a great time at a wonderful event, and they might even let us come back next year!

Syttende Mai!

VikingVikingWow, was that fun. For those of you who have no idea what Syttende Mai is, it is the Norwegian independence day. As you can imagine, the Sullivans did it in style. Kathy hosted the celebration at her house, where we ate all the traditional foods as we played kubb and talked about our travels to the old country. Click one of the photos above to see the rest of the pictures.

The Sullivans Head to Vegas!

IreeneLas Vegas

Can you believe it? Mom can officially hide her own Easter Eggs. She turned 70, and to celebrate, the choice was obvious, "Las Vegas"!

We had a great time shopping, dining, seeing the shows and just plain having fun. We don't have all the photos yet, but here is a start. Be sure to check back soon for the rest.
